I sometimes feel that if the movie never showed Freddy until the end and just had scenes like the upside down/invisible attack scene the film would have been more terrifying. That scene was like the first shark attack in Jaws, animalistic and horrifying. They could have revealed Freddy with the Tub scene. The buildup to the reveal would have been incredible.
